Business Plan & Strategy
Oil Basins (the “Company”) has adopted a business plan aimed towards bringing a high level of both financial / commercial and technical experience and acumen to the selection and screening of oil and gas exploration, investment and development opportunities as they arise, both in Australia and internationally.
Building upon the initial interests in the Canning and Gippsland Basins, the Company will now seek to expand and / or adjust this initial portfolio with opportunities that meet appropriate investment criteria established by the Board, with the objective of maximising shareholder returns based upon total capital growth, and to provide significant leverage for the Company shareholders to exploration opportunities for oil and gas and / or appropriately preserve capital for the Company, via a focused strategy based upon:
- selection of highly leveraged exploration farmin opportunities
- selection of appraisal (pre-development) opportunities
- selection of mature production opportunities, and when appropriate
- strategic corporate investments.
Fundamental to this approach will be the aim to develop strategic relationships / alliances with good operating companies which will be facilitated by the experienced Board. The Company aims to be non-operator initially but may reconsider this position if an appropriate investment opportunity were to arise.
